Once Upon a Teacup creates bespoke vintage tea party creations to help you discover the joy of the classic, traditional tea party. Perfect for Baby Showers, New Mum gatherings and even birthday parties, Once Upon a Teacup delight in making sure your tea party is one to remember. 

Established by owner, Sybil Worsley-Cundall, ‘once upon a time’ in Manchester, Once Upon a Teacup started as a couple of vintage tea sets for a vintage themed tea party and evolved to the thriving business it is today in no time! Sybil’s love of collecting beautiful china crockery, vintage linen textiles, silver plated cutlery and pretty, unique cake stands meant that starting Once Upon a Teacup felt like an inevitable next step; “I really felt that our tea party went so well, everyone enjoyed it and combined with the love I have for sourcing and collecting vintage pieces, it meant that sharing my vintage tea parties with others seemed a logical way to go.” Sybil told us. Word soon spread and now vintage tea parties can be created for you by Once Upon a Teacup in your own home or chosen venue in no time at all. 

There is a choice of three tea party menus featuring homemade scrummy cakes, traditional cream teas, finger sandwiches and additional extras such as 40’s/50’s CD’s, hand made vintage bunting, fresh flowers and even a wrapped pass the parcel! Happy to adapt menus to your tastes and requirements, Sybil loves to create your favourite tea party food! “I love to create new cakes and tailor your party to incorporate your favourites. All tea party food is created by us personally so, everything meets our standards when it comes to the taste and look of our cakes and food, whether its sandwiches or a Victoria sponge, the standards are very high and very well practiced. We can also offer a variety of drinks besides traditional tea, such as Earl Grey and herbal teas, as well as Pimms or Cava!” Catering for between 8-30 people they can provide everything to make your birthday, baby shower, christening, or hen party complete. 

What’s more, even the preparation and washing up afterwards is out of your hands! “We take great pride in the presentation of our tea parties and come to you to get everything set up and ready for you, all you need to do is get the kettle on! This extends to the upkeep of our crockery – because they aren’t dishwasher proof we take all items and wash them ourselves so you don’t have to!” Sybil told us.
